Pueblo firefighters were able to keep a house fire from spreading to nearby homes.

PUEBLO, COLO. -- A total of 17 firefighters in Pueblo were called out to help battle a blaze at a mobile home before it caused major damage to other nearby homes.
The fire broke out just after 1:30 Tuesday afternoon in the 2200 block of 8th Street.
When fire crews arrived on scene they found the home almost fully engulfed in flames.
More engines were sent in to help keep the flames from spreading to other homes close by.
Fire officials said the home is a total loss.
Other mobile homes only received moderate damage, as well as a pickup truck that had been parked nearby.
Officials said no one was in the home at the time of the fire - in fact the occupants were in the process of moving.
Most of the belongings lost in the fire were clothes that had not been moved yet.
Three dogs were able to escape the blaze after a bystander kicked the front door open.
However, in a release, Fire Inspector Woody Percival reminded people an act like opening a door or window can be an extremely dangerous and lead to an explosion by adding oxygen to the fire.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, but so far officials said it looks like the fire may have been caused by flammable materials that were left on the top of a gas range and ignited by the pilot light.
No one was reported injured.
