COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- New information is released about a man accused of taking naked pictures of local children.
Earlier this month 46-year-old Glen Godec was arrested and charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a child.
He is accused of watching pornographic videos with an 11-year-old girl, engaging in sexual acts with her and having child pornography on his computer.
Officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said they are worried there are more victims that have not come forward because Godec was known to take professional photographs possibly associated with local middles schools and dance schools.
The department has been investigating Godec for the past five months, beginning in August when they were tipped off by the 11-year-old victim's mother.
"Our investigators at that time did a warrant to seize his computer, and it was during that search of the computer they were able to locate so many other pornographic images online of children," Barbara Miller with the CSPD said.
According to Godec's arrest warrant, he touched the girl on numerous occasions and would have her sit on his lap while they watched pornography.
It also says Godec had naked pictures of the victim, a younger sister and several other unidentified children on his computer.
"We are asking parents if they have had their children involved in taking photographs at things such as a sports event that this suspect may have been a photographer to go ahead and have a talk with their children," Miller said. "Then give us a call and let us do an investigation on it."
The warrant suggests Godec lived with the girl's family, and that is where the sexual acts occurred.
As for his involvement with local middle schools and dance schools, police have not released any names.
Officials at several districts including Colorado Springs District 11, Falcon District 49, Harrison District 2, Cheyenne Mountain District 12, Widefield District 3, and Academy District 20 all said Godec was never associated with them.
Either way, officers said watch for changes in your children, as they may be indicators they have been abused.
"Emotional changes, maybe they are not sleeping at night, changes in eating habits, have gotten quiet and withdrawn?" Miller said. "That is when you have to say 'What is going on? Let us talk about it.'"
The arrest warrant also indicates Godec worked at Godec's Photo Supply in downtown Colorado Springs.
An employee Godec Photo Supply Tuesday said Godec has never work there and has no affiliation to the store.
