MANITOU SPRINGS, COLO. -- Fire investigators will begin searching through evidence Thursday in an effort to determine the cause of a massive house fire that broke out in Manitou Springs Tuesday evening.
Crews were called to the 1300 Block of Upper Sun Valley Lane around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The home is located in the Crystal Park area.
The home was completely engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.
Officials said no one was home at the time the fire broke out, and the firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the one home.
Crews from Crystal Park Volunteer Fire Department, Manitou Springs Fire Department, Colorado Springs Fire Department and Northeast Teller County Fire Protection District all responded to the scene.
Firefighters were expected to remain at the scene overnight and into the morning to ensure the fire did not reignite.
