COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A man taking his dog for a leisurely walk was violently attacked and robbed Sunday evening.
Colorado Springs Police officers said the man was walking in the area of Academy Boulevard and Palmer Park Boulevard Sunday when he was approached by two men asking about his dog.
The two men then stabbed the victim in the torso, hit him over the head and knocked him unconscious.
The victim told officers when he woke up his wallet, phone and keys were gone.
Officers said the suspects have been described as two black men in their late 20's.
One is about 6'1'' tall and about 230 pounds with a muscular build and a mustache.
The other suspect is about 5'11'' and 185 pounds.
He also has a muscular build, medium length curly hair and noticeable skin discoloration around his jaw, ear, and neck on the left side.
The victim's dog may have bitten one or both men.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
