LOVELAND, COLO. (AP) -- The tab for restoring power and clearing tree branches in Loveland from an October snowstorm has so far reached an estimated $726,000.
Loveland officials say most of the costs incurred from the snowstorm were to restore power to residents, clearing tree limbs that threatened power lines and paying workers overtime. KMGH-TV reports Friday that the city has that work amounted for about $402,000.
City officials say another $324,000 was spent to clear branches from streets and public properties and to dispose of the debris.
The city will have a final calculation of the cost from the October 25-26 when suppliers and contractors send in their final billing.
