PUEBLO, COLO. -- A Pueblo baby who was admitted to the Denver Children's Hospital Friday was taken off life support Sunday evening, according to Pueblo Police officers.
Officers said 5-month-old Antonio Angel was admitted to Parkview Hospital Friday. Parkview personnel could not find any obvious signs of injury to Angel, who was not breathing, so he was flown to Denver, where he was listed in critical condition with a brain injury.
Angel died around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Preliminary examination showed bleeding in the brain, and officers have labeled the death suspicious, though they have not named any suspects.
Detectives are waiting for autopsy results, but the investigation is ongoing.
