DENVER (AP) -- More windy weather is hitting Colorado's Front Range and northeastern plains.

The National Weather Service said there were gusts of over 30 mph in Sterling and Holyoke by mid-afternoon. The strong winds along with temperatures in the 50s have raised the fire danger.

Winds gusted up to 77 mph near Berthoud Pass on Sunday as a storm also brought heavy snow. Loveland Ski Area said high winds slightly delayed its operations Sunday morning.

About a foot of snow was reported near Rabbit Ears Pass.

Meanwhile Estes Park spokeswoman Laurie Button says about 1,000 customers are still without power, most of them in the Allenspark area, after wind knocked down trees and power lines over the weekend.

Winds and microbursts also knocked down numerous, large ponderosa pines in nearby Rocky Mountain National Park.
