COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are looking for two men who stole a truck in the southwest part of the city late Tuesday morning.
According to officers, two Hispanic men came up to a man in the Walgreens parking lot in the 400 block of East Cheyenne Road, pointed guns at him and demanded his pickup truck.
They took his truck and drove east but did not hurt him.
The victim said the two men were about 5'5" - 5'6" with thin builds, wearing black hoodies and ski masks. Both men appeared to be in their 20s and had guns.
The truck is a white 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 with Colorado license plate 386-XKU.
This carjacking comes one day after eight teenagers were caught in a car that had been stolen Thursday.
El Paso County Sheriff's deputies said a 17-year-old high school student was pumping gas at the 7-11 in the 5800 block of East Palmer Park Boulevard around 6:40 p.m. Thursday night when two boys came up to him and asked him for his keys. One of the boys had a gun, and they took off in his car.
Deputies checked the area but couldn't find the 1998 Toyota 4-Runner.
Around 3:15 p.m. Monday, a Colorado Springs Police officer spotted the car and recovered it after a short chase. The eight kids inside the car were all taken to the station for questioning.
Deputies arrested a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy as a result. The two have been charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated motor vehicle theft and menacing.
