Original story:
Herbert Hudson, 35, who allegedly stabbed a man and kidnapped a woman Tuesday was arrested after a short foot chase in Pueblo, according to El Paso County Sheriff's deputies.
Deputies said Hudson from Pueblo, stabbed a 43-year-old man after arriving in the 5000 block of Wainwright Drive in Security around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. He then kidnapped 28-year-old Danielle Garcia.
The male victim is in critical condition at Memorial Hospital after deputies said he was stabbed in the back, neck and arms.
"I'm very surprised, I didn't hear anything except that there were a lot of El Paso County Sheriff deputies, and when I drove past I saw some detectives in the front of the house," Barbara Box, a neighbor, said.
Hudson faces attempted first degree murder, first degree kidnapping, first degree burglary and criminal attempt charges. Detectives are questioning him to see if he knows where Garcia may be.
"It's a serious situation, and it's unnerving for the community fortunately he is in custody and the next step is to find Ms. Garcia safe and sound," Sgt. Mike Schaller with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said.
Neighbors said the stabbing victim and Garcia are dating, and Hudson is Garcia's ex-boyfriend, but deputies did not confirm those reports.
