Deputy commander moves to new role

FORT CARSON, COLO. (AP) -- Fort Carson's deputy commanding general for support is taking a new assignment at the Pentagon.

Brig. Gen. James F. Pasquarette was being honored at a farewell ceremony at the post outside Colorado Springs on Friday.

He has been in his current assignment since August 2009. For the past year, he also served as deputy commanding general for support for U.S. Division-North in Iraq.

In Washington, he will be director of comprehensive soldier fitness.
