COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Four-legged friends are getting a special gift in honor of a fallen soldier and his K-9 partner.

Friday a dog park will be dedicated to the memory of Cpl. Kory Wiens and Cooper, a labrador retriever working dog.

Both were killed by an explosive device while on patrol in Iraq in 2007.

They were the first military working dog team killed in action since the beginning of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
