COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police believe two homicide suspects fled the scene of a rollover vehicle crash Thursday night.
According to Colorado Springs Police officers, the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Thursday near Howells and Old Ranch Roads, on the city's northeast side.
Officers believe 28-year-old Donny Lopez and his younger brother, 17-year-old Robert Pesante, fled from the area following the crash.
The vehicle involved in the incident appears to be stolen.
Lopez is wanted on suspicion of first-degree murder in the Sept. 26 shooting of 37-year-old Scott Campbell.
Campbell was reportedly shot in the head following a dispute with Lopez in the 5500 Block of Bonita Village Road.
He died days later at a hospital after being taken off life support.
Pesante is wanted on suspicion of second-degree murder in the shooting.
Around 6 p.m. Thursday evening, CSPD Homicide Detectives arrested 24-year-old Antonio Pegues in connection to that homicide.
Police said two female passengers were also involved in the vehicle rollover. Both were transported to the hospital Thursday night.
The investigation is continuing.
