COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers continue their investigation into a fatal motorcycle crash.
It happened around 4 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Fountain Boulevard and Fountain Street, west of Union Boulevard in Colorado Springs.
Officers said a motorcycle went off the side of the road and struck a street sign. The man riding the bike was killed on scene.
A woman riding on the back was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died.
Their names aren't being released, but both are around 48 years old. They were not wearing helmets.
