COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man after he allegedly stabbed a person in southeast Colorado Springs late Tuesday morning.
Officers confronted Norman Simington at gunpoint in the 300 block of University Drive in the city around 11:35 a.m. after responding to a disturbance call.
Simington had allegedly stabbed a person before officers arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital with what officers described as serious but non life-threatening injuries.
Officers arrested Simington on first degree assault and criminal attempt second degree assault charges.
Investigators are still working on the case, but officers did not release any other information.
