COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said an armed suspect has been arrested outside of Wasson High School.
The school was on lockdown temporarily, but it was lifted around 4:30 p.m.
Officials said 21-year-old William Cummins got into an argument with a Wasson student on the south side of the school.
They found brass knuckles and a knife on Cummins. He also admitted to having a gun.
The suspect said he had placed it back in his car, which was parked on school property.
Cummins allowed officers to search the car. They found a holster and pistol in the front seat.
He's been arrested on charges of felony menacing, second degree assault, and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
