Man dressed as skeleton robs farm store

SECURITY, COLO. -- El Paso County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an armed robbery at the Big R store in Security Tuesday night.

According to deputies, a man wearing a skeleton mask and gloves with bones on them came into the farm and ranch home store in the 100 block of Fontaine Boulevard around 7:36 p.m., pulled out a gun and demanded cash from the clerk.

Witnesses said they thought the man was black and in his 20s but couldn't be sure. He is about 5'5" with a tall, thin build. He wore a hat above the mask.

Deputies said they called a K9 unit out but couldn't track him because of the rain. The man left on foot, and the store does not have cameras.

Nobody was hurt and the man didn't fire any shots, but he did get away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
