COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- A Colorado Springs woman run over by her own pickup truck after she got out to release a stuck parking brake has died.

Colorado Springs Police officers said the woman had put her vehicle in reverse gear Friday but had difficulty releasing the parking brake.

Investigators said she got out, and the truck rolled after she used both hands to release the brake.

The woman was pinned under the front axle after being dragged about six feet.

Reports said that firefighters used inflatable air bags to lift the vehicle off the woman, whose name has not been released by police.
