COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A gas line that had been hit at Cascade Avenue and Platte Avenue in downtown Colorado Springs has been repaired.
The intersection, as well as nearby roads have all been reopened.

A gas line was hit early Wednesday morning in downtown Colorado Springs, causing several road closures for morning commuters.
Officials said the gas line was hit near Cascade Avenue and Platte Avenue just after 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Crews are reporting a strong odor of gas in the area.
Hazmat crews are responding to the incident.
Officials said westbound Platte Avenue at Tejon is closed, as well as southbound Cascade Avenue at Platte.
