PUEBLO, COLO. -- A sexually violent predator who was living in Pueblo was arrested Tuesday for violating parole, five days after being release from prison.
Pueblo Police officers arrested 51-year-old Julian Reyes Monday for violating the terms and conditions of his parole.
Reyes was on intensive supervised parole via a GPS ankle monitor. He was listed as homeless in the city after being released from prison Wednesday.
Officers did not say exactly how he violated his parole.
Reyes is also diagnosed with mental health problems.
He was serving his most recent sentence for a sexual assault conviction, and his prior criminal history includes first degree sexual assault, unlawful sexual assault, criminal mischief, child abuse/neglect, robbery and second degree burglary.
Reyes was one of about 520 registered sex offenders in Pueblo, but he was labeled as one of only six sexually violent predators in the city based on his criminal history.
