The coroner has ruled the triple shooting a murder-suicide.

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said a man found dead in the 300 block of East Las Vegas Street in the city Friday evening shot and killed his wife and also shot his son before turning the gun on himself.
Officers responded to the area around 5:04 p.m. and found a man dead on a sidewalk outside the home, a woman dead inside and a man who had been shot but was still alive.
The El Paso County Coroner's Office completed autopsies on the man and woman who died, ruling the woman's death a homicide and the man's death a suicide, both from gunshot wounds.
Officers released the identi ty of the two. The woman was 72-year-old Herminia Marquez, and the man was 71-year-old Carmen Marquez. The two were husband and wife, and their son was the man who had been shot but survived.
Officers haven't released his name but said he is in his 50s and remains in critical condition at an area hospital.
This is the nineteen th homicide in Colorado Springs in 2011, compared to 16 in the city at this time in 2010.
The investigation is ongoing, and officers haven't released any other information.
