COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A woman was in the hospital Friday morning after an accidental shooting in Colorado Springs.
The incident happened in the 3500 block of Lenoso Terrace around 4:30 a.m. Friday.
When officers arrived on scene they found a woman who had a single gunshot wound to her calf.
Colorado Springs Police said her boyfriend had the 9 mm pistol and had been making suicidal threats. When the woman tried to take the gun away from him she accidentally shot herself.
The man was taken from the scene for a psychological evaluation.
No charges have been filed pending further investigation.
