Original story:
Colorado Springs Police officers said they have made contact with 24-year-old Michael Arangio in an apartment at The Resort at University Park.
That's on Whistler Point, near University Park.
He's the man believed to have shot and killed three teenagers Wednesday night on Mira Loma Circle and Montebello Drive.
Police said they have used tear gas to try and coax Arangio out of the apartment, but he is refusing to come out.
They believe he's the only one inside the apartment and armed.
Police have told neighbors in the area to either stay put or evacuate and have evacuated other apartments.
Officials said a neighbor called around 11:40 a.m. when they recognized Arangio.
CSPD officials said they are talking to a swat team.
