PUEBLO COUNTY, COLO. -- Fewer than 24 hours after Pueblo County Sheriff's deputies began investigating a drug store robbery in the eastern part of the county, they arrested a teenager for stealing narcotics.
Deputies obtained a warrant for the arrest of 19-year-old Ramon Valdez after a deputy recognized his face in the store's surveillance video. They arrested Valdez in the 27000 block of Woburn Abbey.
The robbery happened.at a drug store in the 1900 block of Santa Fe Drive in eastern Pueblo County. According to witnesses, Valdez had a gun and demanded narcotics.
Valdez has had prior run-ins with law enforcement and is being held on an aggravated robbery of controlled substances charge. His bond is $250,000.
