PUEBLO COUNTY, COLO. -- Deputies from the Pueblo and Fremont County Sheriff's Offices are responding to a body found in the Arkansas River by local rafters.
According to deputies, the body was discovered by Arkansas River rafters in the river along Highway 50, just south of mile marker 297.
Rafters originally called Fremont County deputies, who then called in Pueblo deputies because that stretch is right along the county line.
The gender of the body is unknown. Deputies estimate it was discovered around 2 p.m.
