The Palmer Lake Historical Society, with the Colorado Springs Indian Center and One Nation Walking Together, is sponsoring this one-day native American festival and powwow to celebrate native history and culture. The event includes American Indian drummers and dancers, art and artisans, a live wolf exhibit, and plenty of vendors and food. Admission is FREE.  This event offers the opportunity to learn and ask questions about native culture, history, dances and music. Artists will demonstrate their skills and exhibit paintings, jewelry, beadwork, and more.

They have some great grocery specials each week on your favorite items (last weekend they had boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.49 a pound.)
They also stock more unusual items like lychees or squid.
Check out their great selection of seafood and fish, as well as produce and, especially, their imported Asian foods.

The two-hour workshop is offered by Paul deBerjeois.
Using your point-and-shoot or DSLR camera and tripod, Paul will show you how to interpret the light levels in a scene, bracket, expose and post-process your images using the latest HDR software. Bring your laptop if you have one – Paul provides the software.
