Police at the scene of a shooting Saturday morning

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Colorado Spring Police Department is trying to piece together what led to a double shooting that killed two people early Saturday morning.
Dirk, a neighbor who didn't want to give his last name because of safety concerns, said he was getting ready to start his day when he saw the Violent Crimes Homicide Unit.
"I got up this morning to go golfing, and I looked out the window and saw yellow tape," Dirk said.
CSPD received the call right before 2 a.m. for a large disturbance with shots fired on the 800 block of Tia Juana Street. When officers arrived, no one was there, but there was evidence that suggested a shooting had occurred with shell casings, blood and an abandoned Dodge Neon in the middle of the street.
Memorial Hospital called police shortly after with reports of multiple victims with injuries and gunshot wounds. By the time police arrived, one victim had died another died later in the day. Police are not releasing the names of the victim at this time.
"It's very scary. You can see it was less than 50 yards from where I was sleeping," Dirk said.
Investigators said they don't know where the fight started, but the investigation includes the Brunswick Bowling alley, where they found evidence of a disturbance.
Autopsies have been scheduled for both victims, and if their deaths are found to be homicides, they will be the tenth and eleventh in the city this year.
Police have no suspects at this time.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call CSPD at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
