LAS ANIMAS COUNTY, COLO. -- wildfire in Las Animas County flared up again Tuesday more than three weeks after it had been fully contained.

The 7,000 acre Bear Fire started in late May from a lightning strike in New Mexico.

The fire quickly spread across the border into Colorado.

Fire officials said that the fire rekindled over the weekend and has burned another 30 acres in Colorado, in addition to 20 more in New Mexico.

Firefighters said that resources are slim and helicopter availability is scarce.
