COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police have announced two new sexually violent predators have moved to the city and are homeless.
Police said 58-year-old Kirby Johnson and 35-year-old Daniel Murphy have moved to Colorado Springs.
Johnson was convicted of second degree sexual assault in Wyoming in 1995. He has also been convicted three times of failing to register as a sex offender, fraud, interference with a peace officer and assault.
He is currently registered as homeless and was living in the area of Bijou Street and Spruce Street. He has since re-registered and is now living in the area of Cimarron Street and I-25.
Johnson is a white man, 5'10" and weighs 242 pounds with graying hair and brown eyes.
Murphy was convicted of first degree sex abuse in 2000, forcible touching in 2003, and was convicted three times for failure to register as a sex offender - twice in New York in 2003 and 2008 and once in Colorado Springs in 2010.
Murphy has been in Colorado Springs since October 2009 and is currently registered as homeless in the area of Cascade Avenue and Van Buren Street.
He is a white man, 5'5" and weighs 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Johnson and Murphy are two of now 12 sexually violent predators registered in Colorado Springs. Officers have notified nearby neighbors in both areas about Johnson and Murphy.
