COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- It was a sight for sore eyes as family and friends welcomed home another 250 Fort Carson soldiers.
The ceremony was held at 3 Thursday morning on Post and welcomed home soldiers from the Raider Brigade who had been stationed in Afghanistan.
By the end of their deployment the soldiers were credited with clearing insurgents from a large area of the country that had once been a safe haven for weapons and narcotics.
The team was also responsible for preparing Afghan police and security forces to assume leadership roles.
