COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A man accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend is now in police custody.
It all began in the 400 block of Glenview Court on Monday when Colorado Springs police received a call from a woman, claiming her friend had been kidnapped.
The witness told police the man, identified as 49-year-old Thomas Ward, had forced his way into the victim's truck, hit her and drove away with her in the vehicle.
Colorado State Patrol soon located the vehicle on Highway 24 and along with Springs police and Manitou Springs police, recovered the victim and arrested Ward.
Authorities said the woman had minor injuries.
Ward has been charged with second degree kidnapping.
