Deputy-involved shooting in El Paso County

EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deputy-involved shooting. 

It happened in the 24000 block of Falcon Highway in the eastern part of the county.  An unidentified deputy was responding to a call at the address around 7 p.m. Thursday.  The deputy was involved in an altercation with 54-year-old David Dean Goss, and eventually shots were fired.

The deputy was not hurt.  Goss was airlifted to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
