EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle cash that left a Colorado Springs man dead.
The crash happened on Highway 115 in El Paso County.
Troopers said 74-year-old Dale Burkybile lost control of his SUV near milepost 34 and crossed into oncoming traffic, side-swiping a motorcycle.
The SUV continued off the road, hitting a rock embankment, then rolled.
Burkybile was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle, 53-year-old Cedric Boehr, was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
Officials said speed is not a factor in the crash, but alcohol is still being investigated as a contributing factor.
