COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Penny (#0930324) is a sweet one-year-old orange tiger cat who needs a wonderful home.

Erica Meyer with the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) featured Penny as the "Pet of the Week" on FOX21 Morning News.

She is already spayed and ready for adoption.

"While in foster care Penny was a very loving, sweet mama to her kittens," says Meyer. "Besides having her own litter of 7, she lovingly accepted 3 other kittens into her brood."

Meyer says Penny was very relaxed when she first came to the shelter and remained that way in her foster home.

"She spent the past 2 months taking care of her kittens and now is looking for a home to take care of her and love her the rest of her life," says Meyer.

Adoption fee: $48.
