COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The charges against suspended Colorado Springs Police officer Josh Carrier keep adding up.

Carrier is a seven-year veteran with CSPD and is currently suspended without pay. He was a School Resource Officer at Horace Mann Middle School from 2009-2010 and continued to volunteer after the SRO program was cut.

Tuesday prosecutors filed 78 counts, charging Carrier with sexual assault of six victims, which is one more victim than previously announced during a CSPD/District 11 joint press conference May 20. Included in the 78 counts are: a pattern of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, faked medical exam and sexual contact.

Carrier will be back in court June 7 for a bond reduction hearing. He is currently held on a $500,000 bond. Lawyer Rick Levinson said he's representing a number of the victims and said he plans on making a statement at the bond reduction hearing.

Carrier is also facing 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a child from his earlier arrest on child pornography.
