Firefighters battle early morning garage fire

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs firefighters are looking into an overnight garage fire.

The fire broke out around 2:30 Monday morning at East Boulder Street and North Hancock.

Officials said that when firefighters arrived on scene the detached garage was fully engulfed.

The fire also spread to nearby cables just above the garage.

One home close by was evacuated.

The fire caused approximately $15,000 worth of damage.
