COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- When you're unemployed, looking for a job opportunity can turn into a full-time gig.

"It's not going to be easy and you're probably not going to get that dream job that you want," Jennifer Rose, a Colorado Springs resident, said. "So try every place even if there's no hiring sign."

But there's a small sign of relief for job seekers in Colorado Springs. Progressive Corp. is hiring 95 people for their call center. Business has gone up six percent year over year, and they need more people fielding calls. Corporate representatives said the new hires will be doing sales and customer service, and they'll be paid $12-$15 an hour with benefits. They are looking for people that have two years of sales experience or post-secondary education.

"I'm trying to find a new job myself, but with the economy you can't really," KC Lane, a Colorado Springs resident, said.

Pikes Peak Workforce Center said unemployment numbers are getting better the unemployment rate, adjusted for seasonal jobs, in April is 9.2 percent compared to 9.7 percent in March.  Even though there are less people looking for work there are no drastic changes expected for the summer, things are looking stable.

Progressive is hoping to fill all 95 jobs by the end of June, if you're interested, click here.
