EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- The man who allegedly shot another man during a fight on Mother's Day has turned himself in to deputies.

El Paso County Sheriff's deputies said the suspect, 19-year-old Matthew Aldaz, was arguing with another man on the sidewalk in the 4300 block of Ericson Drive around 3 p.m. on May 8.  Aldaz pulled out a gun and fired three shots, hitting the victim in the leg with one of them.

Aldaz fled the scene, but deputies identified him as the shooter after an investigation. A judge issued an arrest warrant for Aldaz late Sunday evening, and he turned himself in Monday.

His bond is $50,000.
