EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash that left two people with serious injuries.

Troopers said the crash happened on Goldfield Road, just east of the intersection of Fountain Valley School Road in El Paso County.

According to the report a 2007 Suzuki GSXR was traveling northbound and missed a curve. The motorcycle rolled and ejected both the driver and passenger, 42-year-old Albert Terraza and Sondra Waltenbaugh, both of Fountain.

Troopers said neither one was wearing a helmet.

Both were taken to Memorial Hospital with serious head and facial injuries.

Alcohol use is being investigated as a contributing factor to this crash.
