PUEBLO, COLO. -- The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a two car crash on I-25 which resulted in a car fire and serious injuries.
The crash happened around 9 p.m. Thursday about seven miles north of Pueblo.
According to witnesses, a car driven by 51-year-old Timothy Kirchoff of Colorado Springs, was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with a small cargo truck from behind driven by 23-year-old Torrey McLoughlin of Arvada.
The truck spun off the roadway and rolled down an embankment, and the car caught on fire.
Kirchoff suffered serious bodily injuries and was transported to Parkview Hospital.
Troopers said speed and alcohol both appear to be factors in the crash.
