COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A report of shots fired early Saturday morning leads police to an attempted break-in at a medical marijuana dispensary.

Colorado Springs police said around 3:30 a.m. someone reported hearing three to four shots in the 1300 block of North Academy Boulevard in the city.

A witness said after the shots were fired they saw two males running north through the alley.

Officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to find them.

After searching the area officers found bullet holes in the back door of MMJ Supply.

Police said the suspects weren't able to get in the building and the investigation is on going.
