PUEBLO, COLO. -- Two people died after the car they were in was t-boned by a jeep about a mile north of Pueblo Tuesday morning.
Colorado State Patrol officials said 54-year-old Robin and 61-year-old Ramon Lange of Pueblo West died after the crash.
According to troopers, robin was driving a 1990 Chevrolet Prizm south on Colorado Highway 45 (Pueblo Boulevard) when she tried to turn left onto eastbound 24th Street. A 1992 Jeep Cherokee was going north on Pueblo Boulevard and hit the right side of the Chevrolet as the Chevrolet was making its turn.
Ramon was in the passenger seat and died from his injuries. Robin was taken to Parkview Medical Center and died around 3:43 p.m. Troopers said neither were wearing seatbelts.
The Jeep's driver, 49-year-old Monty Berner of Pueblo, was wearing his seatbelt and suffered minor injuries. The Jeep's front seat passenger was a 4-year-old girl from Colorado Springs. Troopers said she was properly restrained and was taken to Parkview with minor injuries.
Troopers said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash. They have not said whether speed was a factor.
