COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police said a child fell from a third floor window Sunday evening and landed on the asphalt below.
Police were called to the Casa Del Rey Apartments in the 1300 block of Potter Drive around 5 p.m.
They said the 3-year-old was playing in the bedroom of a third floor apartment when the child leaned or pushed against the screen of an open window and the screen gave way.
The child fell around 25 to 30 feet, landing on an asphalt surface.
Police said medical personnel stabilized the child who was then transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
