COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Colorado Springs Police Department is looking for a suspect involved in a shooting at a downtown nightclub early Sunday morning.

Police were called to SODOs located in the 500 block of S. Tejon Street just before 2 a.m. for a disturbance.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

According to witnesses, the victim was standing in an enclosed exterior smoking area when he became involved in a fight with the suspect, who was standing outside the bar.

At some point during the altercation, police said the suspect shot the victim.

They said the suspect then fled the scene and has yet to be located.
