The stun gun is mightier than the sword

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- On Saturday morning officers responding to a family disturbance were approached by 37-year-old Joshua Kern, who was brandishing a sword and screaming, according to Colorado Springs police.

Police said Kern ignored repeated verbal commands to put the sword down.

Eventually, Kern dropped the sword and charged the officers. The officers then stunned Kern.

Kern was taken into custody, and charged with menacing.
