DENVER (AP) -- The newly Republican House in Washington recently read the federal Constitution aloud. Colorado's newly Republican House is following their federal counterparts' lead and doing the same on Wednesday.
House leaders say they're reading the document aloud to mark Liberty Day, an unofficial holiday to encourage people to read the nation's founding documents.
James Madison was born on March 16. The nation's fourth president is credited for crafting much of the U.S. Constitution.
