I-25 closed due to crash, hazmat spill

CASTLE ROCK, COLO. -- Southbound I-25 is currently closed at Plum Creek due to a three vehicle crash and possible hazmat spill.

The Colorado State Patrol says the crash happened just south of Castle Rock around 5:00 Tuesday morning.

Two semi trucks were involved along with another vehicle.

Troopers say one person was extricated during the crash, which also triggered a diesel spill.

An emergency helicopter and a hazmat crew are responding to the scene.
