COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The woman who police say was behind the wheel when 35-year-old Allen Rose was dragged to his death last week appeared in court for the first time Wednesday afternoon.
Detra Farries appeared in front of a judge to hear the charges against her.
She has been charged with manslaughter, a class 4 felony. A class 1 is the most serious and a class 6 is the least serious.
Farries posted a $50,000 bond.
She is due back in court March 9 at 8:30 a.m. in Division 17, where she will be formally charged.
At that time the District Attorney can add or drop charges against her.
McDivitt Law Firm has also been hired to represent the interest of Allen Rose's family.
