COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police arrested two middle school boys for allegedly setting fires at their school.
Police said the first fire happened around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in a classroom at Cheyenne Mountain Junior High School. The school's principal said one of the students started a fire in a classroom, and the student later admitted to starting the fire using paper matches.
On Wednesday, police went to the school to follow up and found out that another student had been setting fires in trash cans throughout the day. Several students were able to identify the second suspect, and police arrested that student as well.
Police charged both students with fourth degree arson. Police did not release the names of the students.
