LAMAR, COLO. -- Lamar police arrested a man for violating parole, and a string of interviews and investigations lead to three other arrests on drug charges Tuesday.

Police were looking to take 43-year-old Rory Alba into custody after learning from his parole officer that he had violated parole. Police saw Alba in a car in the 400 block of N. 8th Street and finally took him into custody after making contact with him in the 200 block of S. 2nd Street.

During the investigation into Alba's parole violation, officers got information that 45-year-old Marla Abling was looking for a cocaine supplier. Police made contact with Abling in the 300 block of E. Olive Street and found a small amount of cocaine in the car she was driving.

While investigating Abling, officers learned that 26-year-old Eugene Parsee was advertising the fact that he sells illegal drugs. Officers contacted Parsee and arrested him after further investigation found he was allegedly distributing marijuana.

Police learned from the Parsee investigation that 23-year-old Jessica Kimla was looking to buy prescription drugs. Officers met her in the 1100 block of S. Main Street, where they took her into custody for attempting to purchase a schedule II controlled substance.

All four suspects are at the Prowers County Jail.

Police charged Abling with possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Her bond is $4,000. Parsee has a parole hold and a $4,000 bond, and Kimla has a $1,000 bond.

There is no bond for Alba, who may be facing other charges as well.

The Prowers County Sheriff's Office assisted with the arrests and investigations.
