PENROSE, COLO. -- A student is in the hospital with serious injuries after a school bud driver crashed the bus in Penrose, Colo. early Friday morning.

According to Colorado State troopers, the Fremont County RE-2 bus driver, 39-year-old Christine Hollowell, blew through a stop sign while driving west on 13th Street and went right into the path of a GMC pickup truck going south on L Street.

The pickup's driver, 17-year-old Shelby Aebischer, collided with the back right side of the bus, causing both vehicles to spin. The bus blocked 13th Street.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to Parkview Hospital with serious injuries.  Nobody else was seriously hurt in the crash.
